The Strigas is a gothic band from Italy.

“The Strigas” was formed in the Summer of 2010, by Fabio Ficarella (vocalist) and Liboria Tesoro (Bass guitarist), who wanted to express themselves in a new music project influenced by a Finnish gothic rock sound.
Since the beginning, they focused their work in song-writing and in self promotion through the Web, gigs and festivals.
They soon released their first self produced EP, containing the songs “Sometimes” and “Falling Down”, aired in some local and Web Radios, which entered the most-listened songs hit parade in the community.
They won the “Golem Dungeon Contest” 2011 gaining the co-production of a full length album and entering the “Southern Brigade Records” label.
They also won the “ROCK TARGATO ITALIA” 2011 contest.
In 2011 and 2012 they performed many live shows all over the Italian territory.
Among their experiences The Strigas count their presence in many Metal Festivals such as “San Metallo” and “A.Live Rock Festival”, sharing the stage with numerous national and international artists of the Rock and Metal worldwide scene, such as RECKLESS LOVE, SACRUM, EKTOMORF, STEVE HEWITT (former PLACEBO), MARIO RISO (REZOPHONIC), TRICK OR TREAT, ADIMIRON, DRAGONHAMMER and many more.
In 2013 some of their songs were chosen to take part in the official sound track of the movie called “THE CROW: SHREDS OF MEMORIES”, directed by P. Cinieri.
In February 2014 their first official full-length “A Poisoned Kiss To Reality” will be released. The Album was recorded, mixed and mastered at the Golem Dungeon Studios, by Giuseppe Dentamaro ( Golem, Backjumper, Godyva…), featuring Godyva keyboardist Botys in the song Falling Down.
