Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull better known as Liv Kristine is in the top of the best  voices in the genre of Symphonic Metal. in 2014 she had one very good solo album with the title :Vervain” Seh was former member of the legend band Theatre of Tragedy (in the years 1993-2003), also member with her Husband in Atrocity , she has 5 solo full length albums and many collaborations (Cradle of Filth – Delain -Týr -Savn) and of course former of Leaves’ Eyes.

In the past Leaves’ Eyes released diamond albums as the “Symphonies of the Night (2103) , “Vinland Saga” ( 2005) and “Njord” (2009). Now Leaves’ Eyes  realesed their new album “King of Kings”. The album has 11 songs and 2 bonus tracks.

“King of Kings” is a concept album based on Norse Mythology and the story is about the first King of Norway Harald Fairhair (Harald Harald Hårfagre) and his battle at Hafrsfjord ( the hometown of Liv Kristine) which lead him to become King.

The album has more folk influences than any other album of the past. But you cant say that the symphonic elements are less.In the album there is the addition of London Voices Choir (The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Hobbit, Harry Potter and Interstellar) and also the guest appearance of Simone Simons (Epica) in the song “Edge  of Steel” and Lindy – Fay Hella ( Wardruna) in the song “Blazing Waters”. Also guest musician is Oliver Palotai (Kamelot ) who play piano on the song “The Waking Eye”.

The voice of Liv Kristine is guarantee for the quality of the album. The growls of Alexander Krull are less the past albums but still work well to general sound. The music is full of Folk  and Celtic/ Pagan influences. The production of the album is perfect.
